Our goal is to bring families back to the dinner table to share high quality time together, with out distractions. Slow down and enjoy life!
Our goal is to replace “fast food”, impersonal restaurant atmospheres and unhealthy TV dinners with home-cooked, “made with Love, just like Mom would”, nutritious, personally designed meals.
We believe in using only high quality, fresh, nutritious, seasonal and natural ingredients.
We believe in choosing from a variety of food groups and eating a balanced, healthful diet ~ which may include the occasional dessert!
We believe that balance is the essential ingredient of healthy diet and a healthy life.
Meet the Chef:
Please take a moment to be introduced to Chef Kelly. Since she will be in your home, preparing your food, and a new part of you life, we want you to feel completely at ease and comfortable with her and the service she provides.
Chef Kelly O’Brien is the owner of Glass Slipper Gourmet. She is a graduate of the prestigious California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, CA. She graduated in 1998 with Honors and on the President’s List for Academic Achievement.
Chef Kelly has a well rounded list of experience. Her resume includes positions at Lark Creek Café in Walnut Creek as both a line cook and pastry chef, a unique position of Private Chef for the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority House at Cal Berkeley, and a Cake Designer creating Wedding and Special Occasion cakes for an upscale East Bay Bakery.
Chef Kelly is dedicated to the “food experience”. She loves reading about food, trying new ingredients, experiencing different restaurants and cuisines.
She says, “I even dream about food!” When asked about her personal choices, she answers, “Well, my favorite meal is Meatloaf and Mashed Potatoes. I like comfort foods. But, mostly I enjoy using beautiful, fresh, perfect ingredients and preparing them in a simple, straight-forward fashion to showcase the natural goodness. I learned this first hand in Italy. They take a perfect tomato and dress it with the best extra virgin olive oil and aged balsamic vinegar, garnish it with minute’s old, silky mozzarella and pesto made from just picked basil and perfectly toasted pine nuts….. And they have a masterpiece! It’s so simple and beautiful; the flavors just jump out and scream at you!!”
Chef Kelly strives to provide personal attention to every customer, whether as a Personal Chef or for Wedding/Special Occasion cakes. From the initial consultation and beyond the goal is make the client feel pampered and “taken care of”. Each situation is different and she is constantly making sure each client feels attended to. Follow-up is an important service to Kelly. After each “cooking date” or cake delivery a personal contact is made to insure the client’s satisfaction. On-going interaction about likes and dislikes, changing lifestyles or habits and new ideas are always welcomed by Kelly.

The concept of Glass Slipper Gourmet came to Kelly as a unique way to combine her love of preparing “hot” food, and the equal passion for making Wedding and Special
Occasion Cakes.
“As a Personal Chef I have the pleasure of creating menus that change every week, something that does not happen often in a restaurant setting. I have also been able to combine my two passions, cooking and baking, into one marketable service. My daily schedule allows for the creating and cooking of “hot foods” and also the fun of designing and baking custom Wedding and Special Occasion Cakes, which of course, is like “icing on the cake”! |
